This month: Real conversations, from small talk to gossip
The community moves to La Candelaria, Bogotá's oldest neighborhood: cobblestone streets, colorful colonial buildings, and street vendors selling tinto (Colombian coffee) on every corner. Long before it was a Spanish city, this was Muisca land — a ceremonial site of the Zipa of Bacatá. The Spanish founded Santafé de Bogotá here in 1538, and centuries later, these same streets saw the start of Colombia's independence movement in 1810.
